Capacity-Building Projects

Public Interest provides a range of support to organizations to help build their capabilities and improve organizational health, through activities that include:

  • Designing and facilitating strategic planning processes
  • Supporting board development and board diversity
  • Conducting program evaluations
  • Developing organizational policies

We work with board members, staff, clients, partners, funding agencies, and the community at large to design and implement long-term organizational development.

Public Interest’s team also has expertise in fostering emerging grassroots groups and organizations, from initial activities such as fact-finding and identifying issues through to incorporation. We have facilitated the creation of small, sometimes language-specific groups, starting with training in democratic group decision-making.

The following cases highlight Public Interest’s capacity-building work for various organizations.
